The sisal carpet is a true classic among natural fibre carpets: its high-quality pile fibres are extracted from the leaves of the sisal agave in a multi-stage process. Once the dry fibres are separated from the leaf tissue, they are bundled and placed in water for eight to twelve hours and then dried in the sun for eight to ten hours. Finally, the dried fibres are beaten out. This process gives the sisal carpet its beautiful sheen and warm, natural colour. The Morgenland Sisal rugs made of 100% jute are soft, dense & durable.
