Right of withdrawal

Important notice for orders from Switzerland

Our withdrawal and return provisions on this page apply to all orders with the exception of orders with a delivery address in Switzerland.

For customers from Switzerland, different statutory provisions apply, in particular:

• no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases in Switzerland

• different return and defect provisions

• different shipping and return costs

• no entitlement to German special conditions (e.g. 31-day right of return, free shipping)

Statutory right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after fourteen days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Morgenland Teppiche, Brook 9, 20457 Hamburg, Germany, mail@morgenland-teppiche.de, tel.: (+49)4038632775) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you without undue delay all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). Reimbursement will be made no later than fourteen days from the day on which your declaration of withdrawal reached us. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired. If an incorrect or damaged product is delivered by Morgenland Teppiche, Morgenland Teppiche will reimburse the customer for the costs of shipping and return. If a customer receives a damaged product, the customer must provide proof in the form of a photo or video of the product and the packaging in high and comprehensible quality.

Legal information on returns/collection

Please pack your return so that the following maximum dimensions are not exceeded :

• Length: 175 cm (including protruding packaging/plastic film)
• Combined dimensions: 300 cm (length + 2×width + 2×height)
• Weight: 31.5 kg per parcel

A flat-rate shipping charge applies to returns of products from countries for which we do not offer free returns, which you can find here.

If you return a product from a country for which we do not offer free returns and there is no fault on the part of Morgenland Teppiche, the costs of the return will be deducted from the refund. Please see the overview linked above for the countries in which shipping and returns are free of charge. You will only be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Return of special orders.

Please note that custom-made items are excluded from the right of withdrawal and can be neither returned nor refunded. Your statutory warranty rights in the event of damage or defects are not affected by this. To speed up processing, we ask you for meaningful photos or videos in such cases. This policy ensures that we maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality, personalised products while protecting the interests of our customers.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following contracts: contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for the manufacture of which an individual choice or decision by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the consumer's personal requirements.

Special notes

If you finance this contract by means of a loan and later withdraw, you are also released from the loan agreement, provided that both contracts form a single economic unit. This is the case in particular if we are your lender or if your lender relies on our involvement in the financing. If the loan has already been paid out to us at the time the withdrawal takes effect, your lender assumes our rights and obligations under the financed contract with regard to the legal consequences of the withdrawal or the return. The latter does not apply if the contract concerns the acquisition of financial instruments (e.g. securities, currencies or derivatives). In order to avoid a contractual commitment as far as possible, exercise your right of withdrawal and also withdraw from the loan agreement if you have a right of withdrawal in respect of it.

Important:
Please do not send your return directly to our warehouse in the EU or Germany.
Shipments that are not sent to our Swiss address may be held up at customs or incur high import duties – we may then have to pass these costs on to you.

31-day voluntary right of return

For all rugs you purchase from Morgenland Teppiche, we grant you a voluntary right of return in addition to the statutory right of withdrawal. The period for exercising the voluntary right of return begins at the end of the statutory withdrawal period and expires 31 days after receipt of the goods.

Timely dispatch is sufficient to meet the deadline. However, exercising the voluntary right of return requires that you return the goods in their original condition, intact and undamaged, in the original packaging or in comparable packaging. If you would like to make use of our returns service, please contact our customer service by e-mail at mail@morgenland-teppiche.de. You will then receive the return information and your return label by e-mail. Should you have no way of printing the return label, we can alternatively send you the documents by post. The voluntary right of return does not apply to the purchase of gift vouchers.
