Thanks to its elaborate and denser weave, the Loribaft carpet - Kashkuli Persian belongs to the group of fine carpets. These features also makes it the high-end variant of Gabbeh carpets. Loribafts take four to six times longer to make than normal Gabbeh carpets. The tightly twisted, hand-spun virgin wool gives the carpet its sheen and liveliness. It also results in very soft, cosy and extremely durable. The patterning of loribafts is often subtle, decorated with simple ornaments, which gives them a timeless look and allows them to be versatilely incorporated into different interior styles. Knottings from India, which skilfully reproduce the classic Loribaft motifs, are also widespread and are in no way inferior to the Persian versions in terms of quality.
