This Hosseinabad carpet is of the best quality. Rustic charm, warm natural tones in indigo blue and red and special durability are the hallmarks of the Hosseinabad. Hand-spun Iranian highland wool gives it a soft sheen. The 'Turkish knot' provides the robust surface. Hosseinabads are considered the simplest of Persian carpets. They are traditionally hand-knotted in the villages around the Iranian city of Hamedan. Each carpet is an imaginative individual piece. Small irregularities in the pattern indicate this.
