Refund policy

Legal Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, takes possession of the last rug.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please inform us (Morgenland Teppiche, Brook 9, 20457 Hamburg, Germany, mail@morgenland-teppiche.de, Tel.: (+49)4038632777) of your decision to withdraw from this contract through a clear statement (for example, a letter sent by post, fax, or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the withdrawal period expires.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments received from you, except for delivery costs (unless you chose a delivery method other than our least expensive standard delivery), without undue delay. Refunds will be made no later than fourteen days after we receive your withdrawal notice. We will use the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless explicitly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees for the refund. We may withhold the refund until we have received the rugs back or until you provide proof of having sent them, whichever occurs first.

You must return the rugs without undue delay, and in any case no later than fourteen days from the day you notify us of the withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send the rugs before the fourteen-day period expires. If Morgenland Teppiche delivers an incorrect or damaged rug, we will cover the cost of shipping and return. If you receive a damaged rug, please provide proof in the form of a clear, high-quality photo or video of the rug and its packaging.

Legal Notice for Returns/Collection

Please pack your return so that the following maximum dimensions are not exceeded:

  • Length: 175 cm (including any protruding packaging or plastic wrap)
  • Girth: 300 cm (Length + 2×Width + 2×Height)
  • Weight: 31.5 kg per package

For returns from outside Germany, a shipping fee applies, which you can find here.

If you return a product from outside Germany and there is no fault on our part, the costs for shipping and return will be deducted. Orders and deliveries within Germany are eligible for free shipping and returns. You are only responsible for any reduction in value of the rugs if it results from handling them beyond what is necessary to inspect their condition, features, and functionality.

Return of Custom Orders

Please note that custom-made rugs cannot be returned or refunded unless you can prove damage or a fault on our part. In such cases, you must provide high-quality photos or videos to substantiate your claim. This policy ensures we continue to provide high-quality, personalized rugs while protecting our customers’ interests.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the delivery of non-prefabricated rugs whose manufacture is determined by the consumer’s individual choice or specifications, or which are expressly tailored to the consumer’s personal needs.

Special Notes

If you finance this purchase through a loan and later withdraw, you are also released from the loan agreement if both contracts form a single financial arrangement. This applies particularly if we are your lender or if your lender depends on our involvement. If the loan has already been received by us at the time of withdrawal, your lender assumes our rights and obligations under the financed contract. This does not apply if the contract concerns the acquisition of financial instruments (e.g., securities, currencies, or derivatives). To avoid contractual obligations, exercise your right of withdrawal and also withdraw from the loan agreement if you are entitled to do so.

Important: Please do not send returns directly to our EU or German warehouse. Shipments not sent to our Swiss address may get held at customs or incur high import duties, which may be charged to you.

31-Day Voluntary Return Policy

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, we offer a voluntary return period for all rugs purchased from Morgenland Teppiche. The voluntary return period begins at the end of the statutory withdrawal period and ends 31 days after you receive the rugs. Timely dispatch is sufficient to meet the deadline. Rugs must be returned in their original condition, undamaged, and in the original or comparable packaging. To use our return service, please contact customer service at mail@morgenland-teppiche.de. You will receive return instructions and your return label via email. If you cannot print the label, we can send it by post. The voluntary return policy does not apply to gift vouchers.
